This is a good game marred by terrible production values. I wouldn't buy it again at the MSRP.

I'm intrigued. They are setting this one up so that with the Europe 1940 Edition you can add them together and have the biggest game of Axis and Allies ever.

No rating because i have not played it. The componenets (apart from the minis) are of a very very poor qualty for a premium priced game that is billed as having 'De luxe' components. The board is fold over, thin and has unattractive indents. The counters are incredibly thin The rule book is paper and not glossy It can't be played straight out of the box The are serious errors and ommsions in the rule book and the set up - so it can not be played out of the box Fine in a game not billled as 'Deluxe' - not Ok in something that is and priced as such.

Loved the original, I'll probably pick up both 1940s if I can find anybody to play with.

Like the finish on the board. Surprised that there are not more pieces. Once the molds are made, they're cheap enough to churn out . . . . perhaps they're counting on A&A:E'40 to "flesh things out."
