I’m very intrigued by the premise of this game.

I was really looking forward to the 2nd game in DPG's 2P series. As a passionate chess player, I like the theme. Mechanically it seems very uninteresting and repetitive. It reminds me very much of card duel combined with some effects and boni based on an additional track (mental endurance). In reference to an engine bar, the advantage track is reversed, feeling unthematic. (Own advantage should be marked above the middle, disadvantage should be on your own board side.)

I was actually super disappointed I did not like this better. I love Beer and Bread and water gate, this SHOULD have hit all those points and more. The game feels it just takes 2 matches too long, and I wish I liked it better even though it is still a solid game.
